Session Setup

We really love doing these intimate live band setups in Studio A. The tight acoustics means we can easily record musicians jamming together without too many issues with microphone bleed and this lends itself to some very vibey recordings. 

The AEA R88 Stereo ribbon mic used here as drum overheads is an amazing tool to quickly get an amazing drum sound without much fuzz. Just pair it up with some kick and snare mics, plug it into our API preamps and hit record.
