Session Setup

Selecting a vocal mic is the most important gear decision made in any vocal session. Fortunately we’re spoiled for choice here with revered classics such as the Neumann U87, U67, U47 Fet, AKG C12, Sony C37 and the list goes on. On this occasion we went with one of our vintage Neumann KM86. This particular specimen came to us all the way from Detroit where it was used in one of the studios responsible for the historic Motown classics of yesteryear. who knows who might have recorded with it before we got our hands on it.
