About Noatune Studios
The music industry has seen recording facilities go from the sole province of record labels to home studios as part of a lifestyle. One thing remains constant; no one makes commercially viable recordings on budget equipment.
One thing remains constant; no one makes commercially viable recordings on budget equipment.
With the considerable expense and highly specialised knowledge and construction skills required to build a professional studio, a sound that’s competitive with major studios and big-budget project studios remains out of reach for all but a select few—until Noatune.
By providing affordable monthly access to world-class equipment and acoustically treated rooms, Noatune levels the playing field for aspiring musicians and producers.

Founder Kris and Studio Manager Alfie are here to help.

Born into a musical family on a small island in Denmark, Kris grew up surrounded by music. He naturally gravitated toward the drums from a young age, eventually moving to Copenhagen to work and tour with various artists. In 2011, Kris relocated to London to pursue a music degree. While studying, he spent nearly every waking hour in recording studios, refining his craft and also developed an interest in studio building.
Later he was recording and mixing for more and more clients who loved working with Kris. With excellent carpentry skills passed down by his father and Scandinavian design at heart, he opened a new studio in 2015 and the foundation of Noatune Studios was set. Kris’ passion for building beautiful things, interior design, bringing people together, community and of course high-quality sound continues to shape everything Noatune Studios stands for.

Brighton born Alfie has been surrounded by music and creativity his whole life. A producer, writer and photographer in his own right, Alfie graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA(hons) in Digital Music & Sound Art.
Shortly after moving to London in 2022 he fell into the warm arms of Noatune as a studio assistant / ‘allrounder’. Alfie was brought up in an environment with a busy family business and is now applying his strong work ethic and natural understanding of client relations and project management.
Beyond this, his passion for photography, meeting/talking to new people made him the perfect fit as our new studio manager! Our clients and staff love Alfie’s personable, friendly attitude, big laugh and organisational skills. Overseeing all sessions, you will soon meet Alfie around the studios.

In Norse mythology,Noatun (Nóatún) is the name of a house on the seashore in Asgard where Njörðr, god of the wind, seafarers, coasts, inland waters, and wealth resides.
Nóatún is described in the Prose Eddabook Gylfaginning as located "in heaven”.
As a nod to his heritage, Kris appropriately named the studio “Noatune”, his little slice of musical heaven in London.
